These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Green Credit Score (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Green Credit Score website, application, and any related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, starting a trial, or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, a resident of the United States, and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that all registration information you submit is accurate, current, and complete.
2. Description of the Service
The Service provides access to credit scores, credit reports, and related educational content aggregated from one or more major consumer credit bureaus through a third-party data provider. The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a credit repair service, not a substitute for professional financial, legal, or credit counseling advice, and does not guarantee any improvement in your credit score or financial situation.
3. Account Registration & Identity Verification
To use the Service you must create an account and provide certain personal information, including your name, date of birth, address, phone number, and Social Security Number. This information is required to verify your identity and to retrieve your credit data from the consumer credit bureaus. You are solely responsible for:
- providing accurate, truthful, and complete information at registration and keeping it up to date;
- maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and any activity that occurs under your account;
- notifying us promptly of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe was created using false, inaccurate, or fraudulent information, including information submitted to obtain a free trial to which the account holder was not entitled.
4. Subscription, Billing & Cancellation
- The Service is offered on a paid subscription basis. A valid payment method is required to start any free trial period we make available.
- Unless cancelled before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect immediately; you will not be charged for subsequent billing periods, but amounts already charged are non-refundable, including partial billing periods.
- We may change subscription pricing at any time. Where required by law, we will provide advance notice of price changes affecting your then-current subscription.
- Billing is handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number.
5. Accuracy of Credit Data
Credit scores and report data displayed through the Service are supplied by third-party consumer reporting agencies and a third-party data provider. We do not create, verify, audit, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any credit data displayed through the Service. Different credit scoring models and different bureaus may produce different scores for the same consumer at the same time; this is expected and does not indicate an error. If you believe any information in your credit file is inaccurate, you must dispute it directly with the relevant consumer reporting agency — we cannot correct, remove, or amend your credit file on your behalf.
6. No Financial, Credit, or Legal Advice
Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, credit repair, tax, or legal advice. Any educational content, score factors, tips, or suggestions provided through the Service are general in nature and do not account for your individual circumstances. You are solely responsible for any financial or credit-related decision you make in reliance on information obtained through the Service. You should consult a qualified professional before making any financial decision.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- create more than one account per person, or create an account using another person’s identity or someone else’s Social Security Number;
- attempt to circumvent any identity-verification or trial-abuse prevention mechanism of the Service;
- access or attempt to access another user’s account or data;
- reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or use the Service to build a competing product;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law, including consumer credit and fair-reporting laws.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers to operate, including an identity/authentication provider, a payment processor, a database/hosting provider, and a consumer credit data provider. Your use of the Service is also subject to the applicable terms of those providers where you interact with them directly (for example, entering payment card details). We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, or errors of any third-party provider.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, design, text, and graphics, is owned by the Company or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR ACCURATE. We do not warrant that any credit score or report shown through the Service will match the score or report used by any specific lender, which may use different scoring models, data, or timing.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, ANY DECISION MADE OR ACTION TAKEN IN RELIANCE ON INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE, OR ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR DATA NOT CAUSED BY OUR GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT.
IN NO EVENT WILL THE COMPANY’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO THE COMPANY IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, employees, and service providers from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) any information you submit that is false, inaccurate, or belongs to another person; or (d) any decision or action you take based on information obtained through the Service.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, the Company, or third parties, or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.
14. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which the Company is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and, failing that, will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis. You and the Company each waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
